The Car Dead Lift will consist of the athlete lifting the end of a car parked on a car dead lift apparatus, using parallel handles. The weight will be an estimated 700 pounds. The winner will complete the most lifts within a 60 second period.

•  Lifting straps will be allowed
•  A lifting suit or singlet is not required.
•  Chalk is permitted.
•  Standard lifting rules for a completed lift will include locked out hips and knees, the lifter standing erect and straight.
• The lifter must wait for the judge's down signal for a rep to count.
•  The time limit is 60 seconds.
•  Knee wraps and lifting belts are allowed.

David Standifer, promoter of the Clovis 2006 Strongman contest, has graciously allowed us to use his dead lift platform for our contest. He is also manufacturing another for us so we can provide head to head competition. It is always more energizing to have another athlete next to you, pushing you on to greater effort.

Drew Ford is providing us with the vehicles to be dead lifted.
